Why was the Alberta IBD Consortium formed?
The members of the Alberta IBD Consortium saw the opportunity to combine their knowledge and research interests in the belief that the whole would be greater than the sum of the parts. With the generous financial support of the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research, the Alberta IBD Consortium plans to pool knowledge and resources to develop new and innovative studies that span a variety of fields and locations, and build capacity for ground-breaking IBD research in Alberta. The members of the team believe that through collaboration and partnership with diverse stakeholders—from patients to government, they will be able to bring us closer to a cure for IBD.
